Trust Bank launches AI tool to track card spending

Singapore digital bank Trust Bank has launched Trust AI Ask, an in-app feature that lets customers find, check, and understand card transactions.

Customers can ask questions in everyday language instead of scrolling through their transaction history.

The tool can answer questions about spending by merchant, category, date, or amount.

Trust said it can also return totals, counts, and summaries for card spending, and includes privacy and security safeguards.

Trust, a Singapore digital bank launched in 2022, said this first phase focuses on card spending and that it plans to expand the feature into more areas of banking.

The launch follows Trust’s earlier generative AI efforts. The bank previously said generative AI helped halve customer query volume.

It also comes as Singapore banks expand AI use in customer experience, with DBS saying it uses AI for personalised nudges.
