Trump’s AI project Stargate set to support OpenAI
Stargate is a new AI infrastructure initiative by President Donald Trump that will support OpenAI, the organization behind ChatGPT.
The project plans to invest US$100 billion in infrastructure, with the potential to scale up to US$500 billion over the next four years.
OpenAI and SoftBank are the primary backers of Stargate, along with Oracle and Abu Dhabi’s MGX AI fund as founding partners.
SoftBank and OpenAI reportedly plan to contribute over US$15 billion each to the initiative.
