United States President-elect Donald Trump has expressed his desire to keep TikTok operational “for a little while,” despite a pending ban. His comments were made during an event in Phoenix, Arizona.

Trump highlighted TikTok’s significant audience and its influence on his campaign, referencing a chart showing record engagement.

He also mentioned meeting with TikTok’s CEO earlier this week and has a “warm spot” for the app.

The ban is expected to take effect in less than a month unless TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, sells the platform.
