The funding will support new data centers, power generation expansion, grid upgrades, and AI training programs, according to an administration official.

Blackstone Inc. is reportedly planning a US$25 billion project for data center and energy infrastructure development.

It is expected to create 6,000 construction jobs annually and 3,000 permanent roles.

The move is part of Trump’s broader strategy to boost US leadership in AI and counter China’s advances.

Earlier this year, he announced US$100 billion in AI data center investments from SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle. He also rolled back Biden-era AI chip export restrictions.
