United States President Donald Trump signed an executive order to enhance the nation’s position in AI, as said in a White House release.

The order directs the formation of an AI Action Plan within 180 days.

This plan aims to develop policies that improve US competitiveness in AI, while also addressing economic, security, and societal issues.

In conjunction with the order, Trump directed advisors to reevaluate policies implemented by the Biden administration.

This includes canceling a 2023 executive order by President Joe Biden, which sought to address risks associated with AI.
