US President Donald Trump disclosed hundreds of millions in income from various business activities in a financial report released on June 13.

The document, covering the 2024 calendar year, details his interests in cryptocurrency, golf resorts, and licensing agreements.

Trump reported US$57.35 million in revenue from token sales at World Liberty Financial, a decentralized finance company.

He also owns 15.75 billion governance tokens related to the venture.

A meme coin associated with Trump, $TRUMP, generated US$320 million in fees, although how these funds are allocated is not specified.

The report also included income from real estate and golf businesses, with US$217.7 million from his Florida properties, which include Mar-a-Lago and golf resorts in Jupiter, Doral, and West Palm Beach.

Additionally, Trump earned US$5 million in licensing fees from a project in Vietnam.

He also received millions in royalties from branded products like watches, sneakers, and fragrances.

The disclosure noted US$1.16 million in revenue from Trump’s NFTs, which are digital trading cards featuring his image.

First Lady Melania Trump reported earnings of US$216,700 from her own NFT collection.

🧠 Food for thought

1️⃣ Presidential wealth has evolved dramatically, with cryptocurrency emerging as a new frontier

Trump’s disclosed net worth of $5.5 billion represents a dramatic shift in the composition of presidential wealth1.

This stands in stark contrast to his earlier financial disclosures from his first term, when he reported significantly less income—$434 million in 2018—primarily from real estate and traditional businesses2.

The transformation in Trump’s wealth demonstrates how presidential financial holdings have evolved from the land-based wealth of early presidents like Washington and Jefferson to the diverse assets of the 21st century.
