Trump names venture capitalist to oversee AI, crypto
Venture capitalist David Sacks of Craft Ventures has been named by United States President-elect Donald Trump as the advisor for AI and cryptocurrency.
Sacks will manage the administration’s policies on AI and cryptocurrency.
His tasks include forming a legal structure for cryptocurrency and leading a presidential council on science and technology.
Earlier this year, Sacks supported Trump’s campaign by organizing a fundraiser at his San Francisco home.
Sacks, a member of the “PayPal mafia,” is recognized for selling Yammer to Microsoft for US$1.2 billion in 2012.
