Trump Media sends $205m in bitcoin to Crypto.com
Trump Media & Technology Group runs Truth Social and transferred 2,650 bitcoin worth about US$205 million to Crypto.com during late US evening hours, according to Lookonchain data.
The move followed a transfer of 2,000 bitcoin about four months earlier, and the company has bought 11,542 bitcoin for about US$1.37 billion, putting its holdings about US$455 million below cost at current prices.
The transfer came days after Trump Media withdrew its spot bitcoin ETF application and after it reported a first-quarter net loss of US$405.9 million on US$871,200 in revenue, versus a US$31.7 million loss a year earlier.

- The transfer to Crypto.com may connect to an earlier agreement with Crypto.com, a cryptocurrency exchange. Under that deal, the exchange would support back-end technology, handle custody, and supply cryptocurrencies for Trump Media’s planned ETFs and related products 1.
