President-elect Donald Trump is expected to maintain the CHIPS and Science Act implemented by the Biden administration, according to experts.
The bipartisan law, signed in August 2022, provides around US$53 billion to boost US semiconductor manufacturing and compete with China.
During the election, Trump criticized its funding but suggested increased tariffs as an alternative.
