Trump may create ‘AI czar’ role with Musk’s influence

Donald Trump, the incoming United States president, is considering the creation of an “AI czar” position within the White House.

This official would manage federal regulation and government use of AI.

The role would not need senate confirmation, potentially allowing for faster implementation of the administration’s goals.

There is also discussion of combining this role with a “crypto czar” position.

No candidates have been named for the “AI czar” role. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy could influence the selection process.
