US President Donald Trump and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos held a private meeting at the White House last week, sources say.

The discussion lasted over an hour, but its details remain undisclosed.

Amazon declined to comment, and Bezos’ team did not respond to inquiries.

Flight data shows a jet linked to Bezos landed in Dulles, Virginia, on July 14 and left the next day.

Bezos, who also owns Blue Origin, has had a rocky relationship with Trump, partly due to his ownership of The Washington Post.

However, ties have reportedly improved. He attended Trump’s inauguration and donated US$1 million to the inaugural fund.

The meeting follows reports of Bezos engaging with Trump after the fallout with Elon Musk. Bezos and Musk compete in the space and satellite internet sectors.
