True, Google launch Thailand's first AI credit course

True Corporation, a Thai telecom operator, Google, and Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation launched a nationwide AI literacy initiative aimed at addressing a shortage of AI talent in the country.

The program, called “AI for All Thais” includes what the partners described as Thailand’s first credit-bearing AI course.

The 45-hour course, developed by True and Google, will begin at more than 20 universities before expanding nationwide. A separate train-the-trainer initiative will help lecturers integrate AI education into regular classes.

Thailand’s government said the program is part of a broader push to strengthen the country’s AI workforce, while True plans to provide foundational AI training to more than 10,000 employees this year.
