In Hong Kong on June 4, TrendAI, Trend Micro’s enterprise cybersecurity unit based in Japan, said it had joined Anthropic’s Project Glasswing.

It is a collaborative security initiative focused on helping organizations identify and fix vulnerabilities in critical software.

TrendAI said it will use Claude Mythos Preview, an unreleased general-purpose model from Anthropic, to review code and support coordinated vulnerability disclosure.

Anthropic said the model can outperform all but the most skilled humans at finding and exploiting software vulnerabilities, while also helping with prioritised remediation, vulnerability shielding, and virtual patching.

Project Glasswing is a long-term industry effort rather than a product launch.

It launched the initiative with organizations including AWS, Apple, Cisco, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Palo Alto Networks, and later expanded it to about 150 organizations in more than 15 countries.

TrendAI was renamed from Trend Micro’s enterprise business in March.
