Travel metasearch platform Trivago has partnered with blockchain-based company Travala to allow accommodation bookings using cryptocurrency.

This integration adds Travala’s inventory of over 2.2 million properties across 230 countries to Trivago’s platform.

Trivago users can pay with more than 100 cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin and ether.

Travala members will be directed to Trivago to complete their bookings and access its AVA Smart Program, which offers discounts and rewards.

This collaboration expands Travala’s presence alongside with major platforms like Expedia and Booking.com, supporting cryptocurrency adoption in the travel sectors.
