Toyota unveils electric successor to Lexus supercar

Toyota has revealed a new fully electric LFA concept car, marking a shift for the successor to its well-known Lexus supercar.

The vehicle was presented on December 5, after earlier previews at Goodwood in July and the Japan Mobility Show in November.

If produced, the electric LFA would be positioned as Toyota’s top performance model.

Toyota also introduced the Gazoo Racing GT and the racing-focused GT3, which will feature a 4-liter hybrid twin turbo-charged V8 engine paired with a single electric motor.

The unveiling comes as the auto industry continues its transition toward EVs, though Toyota maintains a strategy offering gas, hybrid, electric, and hydrogen-powered models.
