Tokyo Stock Exchange parent company to cut CEO pay
The Japan Exchange Group (JPX), the parent company of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, plans to impose a pay cut on its CEO, Yamaji Hiromi.
This decision follows allegations of insider trading involving a former employee of the exchange.
The former employee was indicted in December 2024 for allegedly providing confidential information about a corporate takeover to his father.
These charges fall under violations of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
Sources indicate that the pay reduction aims to clarify the CEO’s management responsibilities in light of the incident.
