T-Mobile adds 830,000 users as revenue, profit beat forecasts

T-Mobile US Inc, the second-largest wireless provider in the US, added 830,000 new monthly phone customers in the second quarter of 2025.

The carrier’s service revenue increased by 6% to US$17.4 billion, slightly above analysts’ predictions.

Diluted earnings per share rose by 14% to US$2.84, exceeding estimates of US$2.69.

The company’s growth is driven by new pricing plans and a US$10 per month satellite service for texting and data coverage gaps.

In addition to its wireless growth, T-Mobile added 454,000 high-speed internet customers during the quarter.

T-Mobile also raised its full-year guidance, citing its upcoming joint venture with KKR & Co to acquire Metronet, a fiber-optic internet provider.

The company anticipates adding hundreds of thousands of customers and increasing free cash flow and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization.
