Tinder launches facial verification feature in Singapore
Tinder has launched Face Check in Singapore for new users, requiring a mandatory video selfie to check that profile photos match the user and to flag faces used across multiple accounts.
Tinder said users who pass the process get a Photo Verified badge.
The rollout follows launches in the US and other markets, including India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The company said video selfies are deleted shortly after review, while an encrypted face map is stored to verify photos and detect fraud.
