Vice Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga has said that TikTok Shop is allowed to cooperate with any ecommerce entity in Indonesia provided it aligns with local guidelines. Some names that have been mentioned as TikTok’s potential partner include Tokopedia, Bukalapak, and local conglomerate CT Corp.

Should TikTok Shop return, it must observe Indonesia’s regulations concerning the separation of social media and ecommerce functions.
