TikTok Shop, the ecommerce arm of TikTok, will expand to France, Germany, and Italy on Mar. 31.

In Europe, TikTok Shop aims to onboard more local sellers and enhance product offerings. Carrefour will join in France, while Germany will feature AboutYou and Cosnova.

While TikTok Shop is known for discounted items, it aims to offer high-end products, including second-hand Birkin bags. Merchants in the three new markets are already listing products ahead of the launch.

Jan Wilk, head of operations at TikTok Shop UK, said the European rollout is expected to move faster than the UK launch due to prior experience.

The expansion comes amid US scrutiny, where TikTok may face restrictions unless ByteDance divests its American business.
