TikTok has announced it may halt operations in the United States starting Jan. 19, as the Supreme Court upheld the law to ban the platform.

“Unless the Biden Administration immediately provides a definitive statement to satisfy the most critical service providers assuring non-enforcement, unfortunately TikTok will be forced to go dark on January 19,” the app said in a statement.

The ban would affect over 170 million US users.
