TikTok for China tests paid content
ByteDance’s Douyin, the company’s version of TikTok for China, is testing support for paid content. This move that has received mixed responses from users, with some complaining about the pricing.
Content creators with at least 100,000 followers can set prices for their videos, while Douyin charges these creators a 30% service fee. Earlier, this function was applicable only to select short-form dramas.
