TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew met with United States President-elect Donald Trump on Monday at Mar-a-Lago, as the company faces a potential US ban with a deadline of January 19, 2025.

This follows a legal setback where TikTok lost its on a law requiring either a ban or divestiture of its US operations.

The company has now appealed to the Supreme Court for intervention in this matter.

Trump initially supported a TikTok ban over national security concerns, but he reversed his stance in March, fearing it could benefit competitors like Facebook.

Trump also created a TikTok account in June.
