Tiger Global joins $200m series A for US AI networking startup

Upscale AI, a Santa Clara-based company developing AI networking infrastructure, announced it has raised US$200 million in series A funding led by Tiger Global, Premji Invest, and Xora Innovation.

This brings total funding to over US$300 million.

The company aims to address networking bottlenecks that hinder AI scaling by creating a unified, purpose-built platform that integrates GPUs, AI accelerators, memory, storage, and networking.

Its flagship SkyHammer solution is designed to enable synchronized rack-scale AI systems.

Upscale AI plans to use the new capital to expand its engineering, sales, and operations teams and prepare for commercial deployment of its solutions, expected to ship this year.

The company emphasizes open standards and open-source technologies and is involved in industry consortia such as the Open Compute Project and SONiC Foundation.
