Thailand’s Board of Investment announced on Mar.17 the approval of 90.9 billion baht (approximately US$2.7 billion) for data centers and cloud services.

This initiative is part of the country’s expanding technology sector.

Included in the approved investments is a 300-megawatt data center by Beijing Haoyang Cloud & Data Technology from China, which is valued at 72.7 billion baht (US$2.16 billion).

Additionally, Singapore-based Empyrion Digital and Thailand’s GSA Data Center 02 are planning facilities.

GSA is investing 13.5 billion baht (US$400.8 million) for a 35-megawatt data center.
