Thailand’s Amity launches Singapore AI hub

Thailand-founded enterprise AI and software firm Amity launched its Singapore office and AI Research & Application Center on June 29 after raising US$100 million in a series D funding round led by EDBI, an investment arm of SG Growth Capital.

Amity said the center will develop industry-specific AI models for enterprise use, and the Singapore base will help it support enterprise clients across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

The company said it will use the funding for AI research, strategic mergers and acquisitions of software companies in Europe and Southeast Asia, and hiring.

It plans to create up to 60 roles in Singapore over the next three years.

Amity also said it is targeting US$200 million in annualised revenue by the end of 2026 and is preparing for an initial public offering in 2027.
