Tesla remained South Korea’s top-selling imported passenger car brand in July for a sixth straight month.

Data from the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association, released on August 5, showed 30,976 new imported passenger car registrations in July, up 14.3% from a year earlier.

Tesla sold 10,237 units, ahead of BMW’s 6,533, Mercedes-Benz’s 3,959, and BYD’s 2,846. The company has held the top spot since February.

The Model Y led all imported car models with 8,705 units sold.

Imported EV registrations rose to 15,428 in July, nearly half of all imported passenger car registrations, helped by strong demand for electric vehicles from brands such as Tesla and BYD.
