Tesla has purchased the land for its Megapack battery plant in Shanghai, capable of producing 10,000 Megapacks annually.

Despite initial plans for a faster rollout, construction is set to commence in early 2024, with production starting later that same year. The factory’s further expansion awaits regulatory approval.
