Tesla to sell humanoid robots by end of 2027

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the company aims to begin selling humanoid robots by the end of 2027.

Musk said Tesla’s Optimus robots are currently performing simple tasks in factories and will be offered for sale once they demonstrate high reliability, safety, and functionality.

He envisions a future where robots can perform a wide range of tasks and predicts that most people will want one.

Musk acknowledged the technological challenges involved, such as hand function and safety, and warned that early production will be slow due to the complexity of new parts and processes.

He expects the production speed to improve significantly over time.
