Tesla recalls Model Y SUVs after labeling issue

Tesla is recalling 14,575 Model Y SUVs in the US because some vehicles are missing a certification label that lists weight specifications, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on May 22.

The regulator said Tesla will inspect the affected vehicles and install the missing label.

NHTSA said the missing label could lead owners to overload the SUVs and raise the risk of a crash.

It added that it had no reports of collisions, deaths, or injuries linked to the issue.
