Tesla Q2 deliveries top estimates at 480,126
Tesla said on July 2 that it produced 451,758 vehicles, delivered 480,126 vehicles, and deployed 13.5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy storage products in the quarter ended June 30.
Model 3 and Model Y accounted for 467,762 deliveries.
The delivery figure was above analyst estimates cited by Tesla Investor Relations, which averaged 406,024 and had a median of 408,609.
The latest totals were higher than both the previous quarter and the year-ago period.
Tesla had delivered 358,023 vehicles and produced 408,386 in Q1 2026, and had delivered around 384,000 vehicles and produced 410,244 in Q2 2025.
Deliveries exceeded production by 28,368 vehicles, suggesting Tesla reduced inventory from Q1 2026, when production exceeded deliveries by about 50,363 vehicles.
The 13.5 GWh storage figure appears to be a new quarterly high, topping the 12.5 GWh deployed in Q3 2025.
In that quarter, Tesla said its energy generation and storage business generated US$3.4 billion in revenue, with a 31.4% gross margin.
Tesla said 2% of vehicle deliveries were subject to operating lease accounting and that it will report full second-quarter results on July 22.
