Tencent’s academy empowers Hong Kong students with AI skills
Tencent has launched WeTech Academy in Hong Kong to provide AI and programming education to local students.
The launch event was held at Polytechnic University on Mar.15, 2025, with the initiative aimed at aligning with the region’s technological integration objectives.
Dowson Tong, CEO of Tencent’s Cloud and Smart Industries Group, announced that the academy will collaborate with schools, social organizations, and businesses to offer learning opportunities.
The program will feature competitions and projects to help students apply their skills to address societal needs.
