On December 20, Ria Money Transfer, a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide, announced a partnership with Tencent’s Tenpay Global to improve global remittance services.

The partnership lets users to send money from Ria’s 595,000 outlets in nearly 200 countries directly to WeChat Pay wallets or linked bank accounts in China.

The collaboration also expands Ria’s reach through WeChat’s network of 3.1 billion e-wallet accounts.

It follows WeChat Pay’s recent support for payments from eight overseas wallet apps, allowing for direct code scanning within China.
