Tencent said it is expanding international access to Hy3, its open-source large language model, through WorkBuddy, Tencent Design Miora, and Tencent Cloud TokenHub.

WorkBuddy users worldwide can use the model for free until 31 August 2026, Pacific Time.

Tencent Cloud is also working with partners in South Korea and Japan to offer Hy3 through their enterprise AI platforms.

Hy3 is a 295B-parameter Mixture-of-Experts model with 21 billion active parameters, a 256K-token context window, and an Apache 2.0 license.

Tencent said the model is for reasoning, agent workflows, coding, and other productivity tasks.

Tencent said WorkBuddy serves individual users and enterprises, while TokenHub provides cloud access.

The company added that developers can self-host Hy3 through mainstream inference frameworks.

In Tencent’s internal evaluations using WorkBuddy, Hy3 achieved a task success rate of more than 90% and cut average task completion time by 34% vs. the previous model iteration.

The expansion comes as Chinese open-source AI models draw more interest from overseas developers, although enterprise adoption in some markets has remained constrained by data privacy, compliance, and security concerns.
