Tencent Cloud powers Ryt Bank’s AI banking service

Tencent Cloud said on May 11 it partnered with Ryt Bank, a Malaysia-based digital bank, to support the bank’s AI-driven conversational banking service in Malaysia using Tencent Cloud Chat for real-time messaging and transaction data.

The companies said the system lets users give payment instructions in plain language instead of moving through app menus.

Tencent Cloud said its chat service handled a launch-day surge from 50,000 active users without downtime.

Ryt Bank said it has reached more than 1.2 million users in a little over seven months.

Ryt AI was developed with YTL AI Labs and built on Malaysia’s ILMU AI model, according to the release.
