Chinese cross-border merchants and logistics providers are facing challenges due to recent United States policy changes under President Donald Trump regarding tariffs on Chinese goods.

Earlier this month, Trump announced a 10% increase in tariffs on Chinese goods and the removal of a duty exemption for lower-value packages.

However, on Feb. 7, he postponed these changes through an executive order.

Kenny Li, a garment producer and seller, noted that ecommerce platforms such as Temu and Shein have not yet provided updates or new instructions related to these policy changes.

He added that logistics operations and costs have largely remained stable during this period of uncertainty.
