Temu matches Amazon in cross-border ecommerce share: report

Chinese-owned Temu has matched Amazon in global cross-border ecommerce market share, according to a 2025 survey by the International Post Corporation (IPC).

Launched in 2022, Temu grew from under 1 percent to 24 percent last year, close to Amazon’s 25 percent in 2024.

Amazon’s share has slightly declined in recent years.

IPC data shows Shein held 9 percent and AliExpress 8 percent in 2025, while eBay fell from 17 percent in 2018 to 5 percent in 2025.

The survey was conducted in September with nearly 31,000 participants across 37 countries.

Temu, owned by PDD Holdings, sources many products from China and has expanded globally, supported by aggressive marketing in the US.
