Temus, a Singapore-based AI and digital transformation company established by Temasek, said on July 30 that it had invested in Thinking Machines Data Science.

The Philippines-based AI and data transformation company will help Temus to expand enterprise AI work across Southeast Asia.

Thinking Machines will keep its brand and leadership as “Thinking Machines Data Science, a Temus entity.”

Founder Stephanie Sy will join Temus’ leadership team and co-lead the combined Applied AI & Data team with Sutowo Wong.

Founded in 2015, Thinking Machines has offices in Manila, Singapore, and Bangkok.

The company said it was OpenAI’s first official services partner in Asia Pacific.

That work includes building apps with OpenAI application programming interfaces and change management for ChatGPT Enterprise.

Temus said it was founded to support Singapore’s digital future and expand globally, working with government agencies and enterprises on technology-led transformation.
