Telkom Indonesia earns $83.7m from cloud, data center in Q3

Telkom Indonesia reported 1.4 trillion rupiah (US$83.7 million) in revenue from its cloud and data center business for Q3 2025, a 6.6% drop from 1.5 trillion rupiah (US$89.7 million) in the same period last year.

The company’s data center operations are managed through its subsidiary NeutraDC.

Telkom said its total data center utilization reached 89% for NeutraDC, with overall utilization, including Telin and neuCentrIX, at 77%.

As of September 2025, Telkom had 35 data centers with a total capacity of 44 megawatts and 2,451 racks, serving customers such as global cloud providers, AI service firms, government, banks, and large enterprises.

NeutraDC recently launched two new services, Neutra Connect and Neutra Compute, and is nearing completion of a hyperscale data center project in Batam.

Telkom is also expanding its Cikarang Campus 2 facility, and is integrating solar power and water-based cooling to improve energy efficiency at its data centers.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

Revenue down despite near-full use, pricing under pressure

  • Telkom’s data center unit NeutraDC ran at 89% utilization yet revenue fell 6.6% year over year. The gap hints at price cuts or tough contracts to win hyperscale customers (large cloud and internet platforms).
  • Other digital services grew 12% 1 while cloud and data centers fell. This segment lags Telkom’s wider digital push.
  • Management has not explained pricing, product mix, or one offs. The slump could be a short burst of rivalry or a lasting margin squeeze in Indonesia’s more crowded data center market.

Buildout opens vendor opportunities in power and cooling

  • The company is advancing the Batam hyperscale project plus Cikarang Campus 2. Solar power and water based cooling retrofits are in scope. Procurement for energy gear and cooling tech is live.
  • Vendors in renewable energy, liquid cooling, or power management should use Telkom’s supplier registration portals for upcoming tenders 2.
  • The launch of Neutra Connect plus Neutra Compute will drive demand for interconnection hardware (network gear that links customer networks to clouds and carriers). Expect interest in edge computing equipment (servers placed closer to users to reduce latency) and managed services partners.
