Indian conglomerate Tata Group is planning to establish a major iPhone assembly plant in Hosur, located in the Tamil Nadu state of southern India.

The plant could create around 50,000 jobs within two years.

This move is in line with Apple’s aim to increase production in the country and will further enhance its local supply chain.
