Taiwan startup hub opens in Silicon Valley
Taiwan has opened the Startup Island Taiwan Silicon Valley Hub, signaling its commitment to connecting its innovation ecosystem with global resources.
Minister Liu Chin-ching witnessed the signing of an MOU between the hub and Berkeley SkyDeck Accelerator to strengthen ties between Taiwan and Silicon Valley startups.
Taiwan’s government allocated US$4.56 billion over four years to boost its startup ecosystem, focusing on research, industry partnerships, and global competitiveness.
With 10,000 active startups and record-breaking US$2.8 billion fundraising in 2023, Taiwan continues to thrive despite global economic challenges.
The Silicon Valley Hub aims to foster collaboration through co-working spaces, training, and networking, creating a bridge between Taiwan and global entrepreneurial communities.
