Taiwanese electronics maker nets $625m loan for AI servers
Inventec, a major contract electronics manufacturer in Taiwan, has secured a US$625 million syndicated loan to support its AI server development.
The deal was arranged with a consortium of banks led by Hua Nan Commercial Bank, including Bank of Taiwan and Mega International Commercial Bank.
The loan will also be tied to ESG criteria, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing renewable energy use.
The company previously received approval to invest US$85 million in a new AI server facility in Texas to serve its US clients.
It also completed a joint venture with India’s Dixon Technologies, holding a 40% stake, to produce servers, computers, and electronic components.
Inventec additionally operates manufacturing sites in Mexico.
