Taiwan shares rise as AI stocks jump on Nvidia’s surge
Taipei’s stock market recovered on Feb.11, boosted by gains in AI-related stocks after Nvidia’s strong performance in United States markets the previous day.
The Taiex, Taiwan’s benchmark index, rose by 131.91 points, or 0.57%, to close at 23,384.05, with a trading volume of NT$346.64 billion (US$10.56 billion).
AI server makers such as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. and Quanta Computer Inc. were key contributors.
This surge was fueled by Nvidia’s 2.87% rise in US trading.
