Taiwan launches AI robotics alliance to reach $34b output by 2030

An AI robotics alliance was launched in Taiwan on July 22, 2025, with the objective of generating more than NT$1 trillion (US$34.01 billion) in production value by 2030.

The alliance comprises six Taiwanese business groups, including the Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association (TAIROA).

It plans to develop five robotics models across four platforms: automated mobile vehicles, foot-shaped robots, humanoid robots, and specialty designs.

Taiwan’s strengths in producing components such as controllers, sensors, chips, and electric machinery are expected to support the development of an AI robotics ecosystem.

The alliance intends to introduce its robotics products to eight key sectors: health care, logistics, agriculture, manufacturing, caregiving, restaurants, disaster relief, and patrolling.
