Taiwan’s government has introduced a three-pronged strategy to attract local and international talent following Nvidia’s decision to set up its Taiwan headquarters in Taipei.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced this development during his keynote speech at Computex Taipei on May 19, 2025. The new headquarters, named Nvidia Constellation, will be situated in the Beitou-Shilin Science Park in Taipei.

Minister of economic affairs Kuo Jyh-huei said that this decision highlights Taiwan’s robust semiconductor supply chain and skilled workforce.

The National Development Council (NDC) has proposed a three-part talent policy to support this initiative. Director of the NDC’s Department of Human Resources Development Hsieh Chia-yi confirmed plans to amend laws to ease the process for foreign professionals.
