Swiss-Indian agritech platform Innoterra has acquired the fresh food distribution business of Indian agritech firm Fasal for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Innoterra’s B2B ecommerce platform, Farmlink, by expanding its supply chain and distribution networks in cities such as Bengaluru and Chandigarh.

With this deal, Innoterra aims to utilize Fasal’s network of 85,000 horticulture farmers who produce crops including grapes, pomegranates, apples, guavas, and bananas.

Additionally, it will allow Innoterra to diversify into non-perishable goods like rice and spices. This diversification has the potential to broaden its customer base and revenue.

Founded in 2020, Innoterra connects farmers with retailers and offers training on sustainable farming practices.
