Swiss alarm firm Verisure surges 25% in Europe’s biggest 2025 IPO

Shares of Verisure rose 24.7% on their first day of trading on the Stockholm stock exchange, marking the largest IPO in Europe so far in 2025.

The Switzerland-based company provides professionally monitored alarm systems for homes and small businesses.

Its shares were priced at 13.25 euros and reached a high of 16.5 euros, giving Verisure a market value of 13.7 billion euros (US$15.9 billion).

The IPO was multiple times oversubscribed, attracting strong demand from institutional investors and the Swedish public.

Verisure, previously listed in 2006 as Securitas Direct, is majority-owned by private equity firm Hellman & Friedman.

The company said it could raise up to 3.6 billion euros (US$4.2 billion)  if the overallotment option is fully exercised, as Europe’s IPO market shows signs of rebound.
