Indian food and grocery delivery company Swiggy plans to expand its Instamart dark stores to 1,046 locations by March 2025.

This is an increase from its current count of around 600.

Swiggy is replacing smaller stores with larger facilities, ranging from 3,500 to 4,500 square feet. These can host up to 20,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs).

In major cities, Swiggy will introduce “megapods” ranging between 8,000 to 10,000 square feet, capable of storing over 50,000 SKUs.

The aim is to expedite deliveries, targeting times of 10-30 minutes.
