Swiggy has announced that users of its food delivery and Instamart services can now place orders using AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, and Google Gemini.

The company said this integration uses the open-source MCP standard, enabling AI tools to interact with external platforms for searching, applying coupons, and completing orders.

Customers can connect their AI chatbots to Swiggy by providing a specific MCP URL, allowing them to request items through prompts such as “order 5 kg atta” or “book a restaurant.”

This move aligns with industry trends of integrating AI into ecommerce and food delivery platforms.
