Swedish self-driving truck startup raises $100m at $1b valuation
Einride, a Swedish startup developing driverless freight tech, has raised about US$100 million in a new funding round that values the company at over US$1 billion.
The round included both existing and new investors, such as EQT Ventures, an unidentified global asset management company based on the US west coast, and IonQ Inc.
Founded in 2016, Einride now provides autonomous freight systems instead of making its own trucks.
The company has expanded to Austria and the UAE and serves shippers in Europe and North America.
Einride is reportedly considering going public in the US but declined to comment on its valuation.
